Wuhan, as the capital of Hubei Province, is located in the centre of China about 1000 km south from Beijing and by the Yangtze River. Wuhan is the national hub of communications of railway, aterway, highway, airline, and telecommunication.
Wuhan is a famous historical and cultural city in China with a history of 3500 years. Yellow Crane Tower is one of the most famous of Four Major Towers in China, is situated on Snake Hill. It was originally built in 223 AD with a history of over 1700 years. Wuhan is one of the scientific and educational centers in China with over 60 universities and about 500 research institutes, which cover all the fields of science and technology.

Wuhan University found in 1893, is a key university directly under the administration of the education Ministry of China. The university has rolling physical features with the scenic Luojia Hill in it and the beautiful East Lake by its side, seeming in picturesque disorder. Its campus is wooded and green, and has fragrant flowers everywhere all the year around, the buildings are in special architectural styles, magnificent and mansion-looking. The university has 30,000 undergraduate students and 15,000 postgraduates.

There are many scenic spots and historical sites in Wuhan to visit, including the European-style buildings remained along the Yanjiang Dadao, the 1,700 years old Yellow Crane Tower, one of the three famous towers in South China, the East Lake; the TV Tower to Tortois hill known as the highest mast of Asia; the ancient Guiyuan Temple, and the modern International Amusement Park. In Hubei Provincial museum, chimes excavated from tombs reveal the incredible achievements of ancient people in music, acoustics and metallurgy. Wuhan is also near the famous Three Gorges.
